First, as you may already know, “Einstein’s Space and Van Gogh’s Sky” comes out on May 29. The song features a couple of elements new to AP: a full orchestra recorded in Moscow, and a saxophone solo by Danny Janklow. We also welcome back AP vets Jeff Freidl from DEVO on drums and my mixer and recording engineer John Spiker from Tenacious D. I’m releasing one song at a time until the album is complete, hopefully by the end of the year.

And secondly, a problem I’ve been trying to solve for over ten years: Humanistic is being re-released internationally by BMG on May 14. Up until now, the album was only available for streaming in the USA and Canada, as far as I know, and had been stuck in major-label administrative limbo. Our friends at Extasy International — the original label, owned by Yoshiki (check the link — he’s an interesting person) — sold the catalog to a new label, making this new release possible.
